Lauren’s dream of playing music with her best friends became a reality in 2021 when she formed MELLOW with Isabella and later added Jackson, Nikolai, and Ella to complete the band. MELLOW started with the determination to create something meaningful and authentic. They refined their sound by letting go of what wasn’t truly them and embracing each member’s unique influences, crafting a style that’s truly their own.

Releasing their debut single, “Sad Posting on the Internet,” was a huge milestone for MELLOW. This song is deeply personal, reflecting struggles with mental health and relationships, and is an anthem for anyone who’s felt alone. Turning this vulnerable moment into music they could share with others has been incredibly rewarding.

Finding their authentic sound wasn’t easy – MELLOW initially tried to fit a mold that didn’t suit them. After taking a break to regroup, they embraced their individual strengths and influences, creating music that’s true to who they are.
