🎤 My Musical Story: How I Started and Why I Keep Going

Music has always been both my vice and my virtue – a creative outlet and a way to build connections. I’m drawn to the raw power of live performances, not just as a performer but as a fan. Witnessing live music fills me with inspiration and shapes my own sound.

The pandemic threw a wrench in live shows, and it’s been challenging without that creative fuel. But I’m grateful for incredible moments like my solo show at Petersham Bowling Club in Sydney just before everything shut down. The turnout from friends and fans was humbling, and it reminded me why I love performing live: it’s the energy, the shared experience, and that unspoken connection between artist and audience.

🌍 Dreams and Aspirations

I dream of touring the world with my music, sharing stages with my bassist Scott Piper and drummer Thomas Fijalkowski. I’d love to collaborate with Adrienne Lenker from Big Thief, one of my biggest inspirations. If I can’t get paid to tour just yet, well, I’ll be saving up to make it happen at least once! 💫

Creativity isn’t always a steady stream, especially with live shows on pause due to the pandemic. But I stay grounded by embracing the beauty of solo artistry – it’s freeing to explore my own sound and stay true to myself.
